Our store is hosted on Wix. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected.

How do I know my payment transaction is secure?
We ensure that every credit card transaction occurs within a secure environment. Darren Hughes Art payment system has a 128-bit SSL security encryption. You can see the transaction is secure if you see a keylock at the bottom right of your web browser. 
We do not retain your credit card information after your order is complete. Rather, it is submitted directly to our banks. You can rest assured that with each purchase your credit card or bank account information will be secure. 
Darren Hughes Art is committed to a safe, enjoyable and smooth online shopping experience for all customers. Please ensure that you provide accurate and up to date contact information should we need to confirm the security of your order.

What is Stripe?
Stripe is a secure credit card processing service. It serves as both a third party payment processor and a payment gateway. What this means is that Stripe allows your business to process credit and debit cards, as well as automated clearing house (ACH) transactions, both online and offline.

SHIPPING POLICY

Limited edition prints
All limited edition prints are printed-to-order and shipped unframed from Melbourne, Australia. Please allow up to two weeks for production, excluding shipping time. 
Prints are packaged securely in a rigid, reinforced envelope (A4 and A3 size) or poster box (A2 and A1 size). Eco-friendly and fully recyclable packaging materials are used wherever possible. 
Free shipping is offered for orders within Australia. International shipping is calculated by location. Prints are shipped with AusPost and are in the care of the shipping provider when they leave the studio. A tracking number will be provided once an order has been dispatched. A daytime delivery address is necessary as all items require a signature upon receipt for added protection.

Original and commissioned artwork
All original and commissioned artwork is shipped unframed (unless otherwise stated) by courier and fully insured for the total artwork value. 
Free shipping is offered for orders within Australia. International shipping is calculated by location and a price estimate provided before purchasing an original artwork or confirming a commission booking. 
Artworks are sent flat, between sheets of acid-free glassine paper and reinforced board, accompanied by a care instruction guide. A tracking number will be provided once an order has been dispatched. A daytime delivery address is necessary as all items require a signature upon receipt for added protection.

Import taxes
Any and all local customs duties/taxes applied upon arrival in the country of destination for international orders are not covered in the shipping cost and are the responsibility of the buyer.

RETURNS POLICY

We endeavour to represent the artwork to you as best we can. In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your purchase, please email darrenhughesart@gmail.com within three business days of its receipt with details of the problem and to initiate a return. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. 
If the return is accepted, you will be sent a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package. All returned items must be shipped with tracking and received undamaged, in their original packaging. We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected the return and you will be offered a replacement item or store credit for equal value. Return shipping is payable by the buyer.

Damaged items
The utmost care is taken with the preparation and packaging of all items. Please inspect your order upon receipt and email darrenhughesart@gmail.com immediately if the item is defective or damaged.

Refunds
Refunds are offered on a case-by-case basis. If a refund on an item is approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Non-delivered items
We are responsible to ship out your order. An AusPost tracking number will be provided for tracking purposes. We are not responsible for non-delivered items due exceptional situations or circumstances outside of our control, e.g., natural disaster, disease epidemics, strikes, or simply lost during the postal process. 
Please be mindful that delays can result from customs processing in some countries.

Exceptions/non-returnable items
Certain items cannot be returned or refunded such as original artwork completed and approved through a commission process. 
Returns, exchanges and refunds on sale items or gift cards are not accepted.

CARING FOR YOUR ARTWORK

Fine art reproductions should be treated like original artworks to ensure their longevity. The below recommendations are provided to help care for and preserve your artwork.
Handle minimally, and with care, to avoid scratching or kinking. Oil from fingertips can contaminate the paper. It is best to handle the paper with gloves, or by the border edges only. Do not touch the main drawing area.
Keep it in a safe, dry place - preferably its original packaging - until framed.
Professional framing is recommended. The mat and backing should be made of acid-free material and finished with acid-free tape. This is to avoid any moisture from reaching the paper and potentially damaging it. Frame your artwork under non-glare glass that is treated with a coating that protects the work from ultraviolet rays if possible. The non-glare glass allows the artwork to be easily seen and the coating helps to minimize fading over time.
Do not display your artwork where it will receive direct sunlight. Ultraviolet light, either from the sun or from strong indoor lights, can affect colours over time.
Do not store your artwork in areas of high humidity or where there is damp air such as attics and basements.
Do not try to clean your artwork with chemicals of any sort. A gentle wipe with a non-abrasive cloth is fine once the work is framed behind glass.
Do not laminate your artwork. Not only is it terrible for the environment, the synthetic polymer and plastics used become unstable over time, create acids, discolouration and can even start to smell like vinegar. In addition, the heat used in this process can cause irreversible damage.
